Bar soap: lather, rinse, and store

Lather, wash, rinse, then let the bar dry. Solid soap does not require any setting time.

1. Lather in your hands

Wet your hands and the soap, then rub it between your palms. Put the bar back down before applying the lather. On the body, direct application is possible if the label allows it and if the motion is comfortable.

2. Spread without pressing

Apply the lather to the area being washed. A very abundant lather is not the goal. On the face, avoid contact with the eyes and scrubbing with the bar or a rough accessory.

3. Rinse thoroughly

Remove the product with water, then dry with a soft towel. Do not leave the soap on like a mask. For hands, follow the hygiene recommendations specific to hand washing.

4. Drain between uses

A slotted or tilted soap dish allows water to drain away. Keep it away from the shower spray. A soap sitting in its dish will soften: empty the water and let the air circulate.

5. Transport then open the container

Let the soap dry before closing its container if possible. If it must travel while damp, take it out upon arrival. Also clean and dry the container before the next trip.

Key takeaway. Storage is just as important as washing to keep a bar pleasant to use. For face-washing frequency, see morning or evening.
